 
 • FIRST POINT OF CONTACT FOR VISITORS We answer many calls for information on businesses and tourist-related information. We distribute information on the area helping to promote tourism. This includes our member businesses. • Keeping Members Informed We publish a monthly newsletter that is distributed to our membership. It contains information on the activities of the Chamber, special events happening in the community, and member business information. You have the option of having the newsletter mailed to your business, or receive an electronic version via e-mail. • Health Insurance Coverage As a member benefit, business members can choose from several health insurance plans with discounted group rates for your business and your employees. Plans are administered for the Chamber of Commerce by Bene-Care Agency, and are avaiable from carriers BlueCross BlueShield of WNY and Independent Health. • Promoting Your Business We provide business referrals to our members first. People look to a reputable source for services. As part of your membership, you can be listed on our website under the business directory. Your flyer or brochure can also be included at the Chamber of Commerce office. • CUBA CASH Gift Certificate Program The Chamber offers Gift Certificates! Available in $10, $25, and $50 denominations, Cuba Cash can be redeemed at any participating Chamber member business. This program cost you nothing to participate and is easy to use. Simply cash or deposit Cuba Cash at any bank, along with your other checks. • Bringing Businesses Together The Chamber provides networking opportunities. We sponsor a monthly Business After Hours gathering, which can be a valuable resource to a Chamber member through direct interaction. You can highlight your own business by hosting one of these monthly gatherings. The annual dinner and awards ceremony is another excellent opportunity for networking, along with other Chamber sponsored events. • Matching Grants The Chamber sponsors two $500 matching grants for businesses that have completed exterior improvements to their facades. This is on a first-come first-serve basis and must meet established guidelines. $500 Matching Grant Application • Chamber Sponsored Events The Chamber sponsors many events during the year, including the annual Cuba Garlic Festival that brings thousands of people to our community and businesses. The annual Christmas Lighting Ceremony and visit with Santa is a Chamber sponsored event, along with hosting the annual Cuba-Rushford Toys for Kids program fund-raiser, A Many Splendored Evening. • Chamber Affiliations - Greater Allegany County Chamber of Commerce Chamber members are eligible for discounted membership rates. - ACCORD Corporation's Allegany Business Center Chamber members receive a 10% discount on business training courses.
