T J RESCH LUMBER HARDWARE & FEEDS 65 Genesee Street, Cuba TRIPLE E PROCESSING Friendship, NY CUBA'S TIME CAPSULE On Flag Day, Monday June 14, a Time Capsule was placed in the base of Cuba's Liberty Pole. The 150 foot flagpole, which was erected last year, proudly flies Old Glory over the Village of Cuba. Items placed in the time capsule were collected from local organizations, schools, businesses, and individuals. The time capsule ceremony featured students from Cuba Elementary School who performed patriotic songs. The time capsule is scheduled to be opened on Flag Day in the year 2035. CUBA GARLIC FESTIVALThe Cuba Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that plans are currently underway for the Sixth Annual Cuba Garlic Festival, to be held September 18 & 19 at Empire City Farms. The Chamber's 42nd Annual Dinner and Awards Ceremony was held on March 6, 2010 at Moonwinks Restaurant.
